The Diocesan Prison Ministry Team will be holding the Annual Day of Reflection at Whyalla on Saturday August 20 from 10am.
Bishop Karol will attend as a guest. Guest speakers will include Father Hau Le, Sister Delma Rani and Deacon Brenton Mortimer, who will talk about starting out as a chaplain. Community Development Officer with Red Cross in Port Augusta, Mr Barry Rossiter, will talk about his innovative program for helping Indigenous prisoners survive prison and make a positive start in the community upon release. Barry is also a Presbyterian Church pastor.
The Reflection morning will conclude with Mass at midday followed by a community luncheon and fellowship. In the afternoon the Diocesan Prison Ministry Team will then hold their second meeting.
